Good for them

Just in case people were wondering if I ever had an activist side.

This might be a nice charity to donate to.

Yes I'm biased, but come on these guys do good work
Jenny is a student at Carleton University who is finishing her honours degree in psychology. Married with a three-year-old daughter, Jenny says her passion for horseback riding and animals keeps her centred, helping her face her daily battle with obsessive-compulsive and bipolar disorders. Jenny believes that acceptance and support are essential for recovery, and each day, she demonstrates that people with mental illnesses can lead fulfilling and productive lives.

At a risk of being murdered by people angry that a show called the view exists, "you go girl."

PS Bipolar? Pffft... That's not a real mental illness... "Oh I'm moody, please give me pills to change this"

Oh yeah, well a schizo is all about "I'm traumatized because I hear someone reading a lunch menu backwards and believe I am the reincarnation of Orson Welles"

OH yeah, well Bis are all moody and then you have to change the meds arbitrarily because suddenly they're hyper cheerful and you go from emo to stepford in nothing flat... sheesh how about a LITTLE consistency in your psychosis

Well at least we don't start believing in random conspiracies all the time. I mean you've accused your doctor of working for the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg group. Come on, get it through your head, no matter what truths you've accidentally stumbled on to, nobody would believe you anyways which is why they let you live in the first place

(Actually mental illness may vary)

How is this possible?

Now, I am no cellphone expert (and yeah, the guy in question deserved to be slapped hard for using data without a roaming plan) but a $62 000 cell phone bill?

Alberto tried to contest the charge and the carrier reduced the bill to $17,000, arguing that the five-figure charge was what it cost them to deliver the movie.
Seriously, if it cost you $62 000 to deliver that amount of data your network is either really sucky and overpriced OR you should at least put some sort of warning on your damn phones that pops up if a person is stupid enough to do this.

And no, the customer in question shouldn't get off scot-free... He clearly didn't think this through. But yeesh, $62 000? I am never taking my cell phone on vacation ever.

Well, we've been missing things

Greetings and Salutations from the Realm... Umm, school has been doing its best to murder me in a slow painful fashion, so I haven't been posting much.

But let's look at one thing that caught my eye:

Math pupils learn how to drown Turks

“How would you place Christians and Turks on a sinking ship so that only the latter drowned?”, reads a problem in a math textbook for Poland’s primary school pupils.

“On board a sinking ship there are fifteen Christians and fifteen Turks. In order to save the ship from going to the bottom, half of the crew needs to be thrown overboard. One of the Christians proposes that the whole crew form a circle and every ninth person jump overboard. How should the Christians place themselves so that only the Turks are drowned?”reads a problem, quoted the lay Catholic newspaper Tygodnik Powszechny.

Wow this combines my interests of mathematics, education and the murder of ethnic minorities*

The best part of this is that the problem is wrong... If you go by every 9 persons, after 10 persons the cycle will repeat. So the cold blooded murder of only the Turks wouldn't actually work by the rules of the game... Seriously these guys need to take lessons, you'd have to go by every 7th person (or 11th, or 13th or something that is relatively prime to 30 = 2*3*5) so that you could arrange for the ethnic cleansing...

Which is what I am assuming why we are all here in the first place anyways

*not an actual interest

UPDATE:

Not that anyone cares, but given further thought, any number that had a GCD of 2 with 30 would also work, seeing as it would have order 15, and thus you could also commit crimes against humanity... Ain't math fun?

Ah Internet, can you do me no wrong...

Sometimes the Internet deals us with an extra dose of awesome. Remember, when you read something on th interwebs IT MUST BE TRUE...
Angela Merkel was born in the D.D.R., the Communist portion of Germany in 1954. Her biography says she was born on July 17, 1954, and that she is the daughter of a Lutheran minister from an East German-controlled church. Recently, however, Soviet KJB archive files reveal an entirely different story. Stasi GDR files indicate that she was born on April 20th, 1954, and details of her birth were included in the records of the German Dr. Karl Klauberg, who was one of the Nazi "death doctors" convicted by Soviet courts and imprisoned. When he later was recognized as a brilliant scientist, he was released after seven years and was recognized as the father of artificial insemination. The Soviets were even more intrigued when they discovered Dr. Klauberg had preserved frozen samples of the sperm of Adolf Hitler. The forces of darkness in high places decided to try to produce a child from Hitler's sperm, obviously for occult and illuministic purposes. Dr. Klauberg then brought the youngest sister of Eva Braun (Hitler's wife), whose name was Gretl, to Eastern Germany, and the result of the experiment produced not a biological son of Hitler, but rather a daughter. Amazingly, Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th, 1889, and Angela Merkel was born on April 20th, 1954. (April 20th is 11 days before the witches' high sabat of Beltaine.) Angela became a custodian of the Catholic Church through its connections with the East German Lutheran Church. Once a German Pope would take the Roman throne, Angela Merkel was to also take her biological father's position as German Chancellor. On April 20th, 2005, the Nazi Joseph Ratzinger became Pope Benedict XVI, (16th), precisely on the 116th birthday of Adolf Hitler. Then on November 22nd, 2005, Hitler's biological daughter, Angela Merkel was elected Chancellor of Germany. The day of that election, November 22nd, was the anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's Origin of the Species, which is an antichrist publication denying the Creator of the universe.

Boo Ya! You read that right, the Chancellor of Germany is Hitler's daughter. And somehow the Pope (who actually was in the Hitler Youth) is in on it too! I love the Internet...

For those of you interested, which is none of you, I did write my first exam today... I still have 1 more to go and two presentations. But I hope that the year is winding down, though as expected, computer calls have started to return...

Hopefully I may be able to updatages again, but until then keep me happy by not commenting and not reading the blog...
